Almost everyone I know would like to lose “a few pounds”. For some, it’s more than just a few. Unfortunately, many of the diet guru’s come out with these complicated, convulated programs that are almost impossible to follow. Sometimes it makes you wonder whether they keep things confusing on purpose. This way we all keep going from new diet plan to new diet plan. No wonder the diet/weight loss industry is so big!

Another thing I’ve noticed lately, if you tend to lose some weight fairly quickly everybody tells you “Don’t lose weight so fast!” It makes you wonder why these same people didn’t say anything at all when you were gaining weight?

Don’t confuse an easy diet with a fad diet. Just because a diet is easy doesn’t mean it’s dangerous. There are some very complex, expensive diet programs out there that can be much more dangerous to your health than a simple, easy diet plan.

We have all become a little lazy. None of us want to take on a weight loss regime that requires tons of time, learning, measuring and special shopping. We all want a simple, straight forward system to lose some weight.

I’ll keep checking on all the new diet plans as they are released. My emphasis will be on finding ones that work, and are fairly easy to implement into our hectic everyday life.

Low Platelets – Follow This Simple Diet to Boost Your Platelets

What type of diet can actually help you greatly improve Thrombocytopenia by increasing your low platelet count? You have probably been through this with your health care provider and you have probably gotten a big “no” for an answer. The information provided in this article is a super importance so follow along and read carefully as we dive into this controversial topic.

Not all doctors will say “NO”

Many health care providers have been learning more about nutrition and life style medicine and recognize the benefit that diet provides in all situations. But there are still some old time practitioners that simply hold on to the traditional way and for this reason are not really updated on the latest on the medical literature about low platelets.

What diet can really help your low platelet count

There is always a controversy about diet and disease. And Diet and ITP is not an exception. Even though you can find many recommendations online about this topic and everyone has a different opinion. There are some that are proponents of a high protein diet while others promote other types of diets. But it is important to understand that the everyday diet in America already contain large amounts of protein. Increasing protein content is not really going to be an advantage. It is only going to increase inflammation and platelet destruction. And adding more protein will not stimulate your bone marrow to produce more platelets.

 QUESTION:
Simple diet??????
Hello. I am trying to get my body into shape. I have an hourglass figure and I am not overweight, but I would like to tone up. I do cardio and strength training 3 – 4 times a week. But the little pudge on my lower abs will NOT disappear. I think its because I need to incorporate a “diet” into my life style. Does anyone have any tips on a simple diet? I don’t want to hear about those diets that require me to cook a TON of food…all extravagant and stuff…I’m not a good cook at all haha

 ANSWER:
If you are already in relativly good shape and strength train, I would simply suggest portion control. Most peoples idea of a portion is twice the size it should be. When you eat simply try just eating a little more. I had a friend who took what she normally did at meals and made sure to leave two bites on her plate at the end of the meal. With doing this she lost about 20 lbs. Stay away from empty calories like sodas and potato chips and things like that and you will do fine.

 QUESTION:
Simple Diet?
i need a diet with no pills, no plans or nothing. a simple diet that leads me to loosing 2-3 pounds a week. i do exersice (bike riding) but in one week i lost 0 pounds. i dont want to starve my self to death either.
please include what to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.!

Thankks!

 ANSWER:
the simplest and only long term effective diet is eating less calories. We are conditioned to eat more food than we need.
It is a matter of energy in and out. you can only loose weight if you eat less calories than you need for each day. You said you dont want to starve yourself, well you dont have to but you do need to get used to eating less. I know people dont want to hear this advise but it is what works everytime.
You need to start counting calories. As a simple rule, take your current weight and multiply by 10. That number is the amount of calories you need to maintain your current weight. So to loose 1 pount a week decrease your calories by 500 per day. Yes, you will be amazed by the few calories that you need per day, but that is what it takes. Sorry to be blunt, but these are the facts. There is not easy weight loss plan, eating less is not easy but you will get used to it. Its a change in your mind set. I dont know you, but if you take my advise you will see the results, if not then just accept the weight you are at. I imagine you will get lots of usless advice on this board such as eat grapefruits, take vitamins, etc… Just forget that and focus on calories.

 QUESTION:
How to make a simple diet energy drink?!?
How do you make a simple diet energy drink that taste good and doesn’t cost so much?! Something that will indeed give me energy and help me loose weight (by decreasing my craving or by boosting my metabolism)… Think you can help me out?!

 ANSWER:
Mix together any flavor of sugar-free Kool-Aid and liquid ginseng. I did this all the time when I worked overnights and it worked really well for me. If you want, you could probably also buy some liquid B vitamins and stick those in there as well, although I can’t attest to the effectiveness or tastiness of that. Good luck!

 QUESTION:
What is a good simple diet to follow?
I’m looking for a simple diet that will help at weight loss. Nothing that I have to search high and low for ingredients please.

Thanks for your help!

 ANSWER:
The best kind of diet is one that you will stick with and easily incorporate into your daily life once you have finished your weight loss.

Here’s a simple plan that worked for me:
1.) Try eating the same foods as you normally would eat, but save about 200-500 calories a day by making portions a little smaller, using less oils and sauces, and eliminating calories for drinks (drink water instead).
2.) Space your meals so that you are eating a small meal or snack every 3 hours to keep your metabolism running.
3.) Exercise and do weight training.
