i’m 16, 170 pounds(i don’t look big, though for some reason) but i AM just a wee little overweight, so i need to loose my extra baggage, and it’s really embarrassing… i’ve been bullemic and anorexic once…and i do NOT want to take that route again!

is there just a simple diet plan, like "eat 2 bananas for breakfast, brocoli and corn for lunch, chicken for dinner", kno what i mean? sry, it’s just i don’t know really how to eat. i need help, please?

oh…and..umm…i’m a homosexual guy :)

Why don’t you ask your doctor to send you to a dietitian and get advice on a well balanced diet. We all need something from each food group but to eat moderately. If you really crave something that’s not healthy have 3 mouthfuls and that should stop the craving. Exercise and will power are also important. Good luck.

Try drinking only water, eating three meals a day and only eating small portions, and dont snack, or eat late, and stay active that should help, and never ever keep eating after you feel full!

Your best diet plan is to eat nutritiously. If you need to go get yourself a book on how to eat properly. (That’s what my husband and I did) Stick with you lean beef, chicken and fish. Veggies and fruits are excellent for you. Try and cut out sodas as they can add up to about 12 extra pounds a year on someone. Also whole wheat pastas, breads, and rice are better than enriched or white.

My favorite diet tip is to only eat when hungry. So try eating 4 to 6 smaller meals through the day, when you start to get hungry, instead of the 3 large meals that most people are used to. Also eat slower as it takes your stomach about 20 minutes to tell your brain that it’s starting to get full.

Example:

Breakfast:
1 yogurt
1 banana
1 whole wheat bagel or english muffin
1 8 oz. orange juice

Snack:
1 bag of whole wheat pretzels

Lunch:
salad with a light dressing
1 apple
1 7oz. portion of fish, grilled

Snack:
1 bag of 100% fruit snacks

Dinner:
1 8 oz. lean chicken w/out skin, grilled
broccoli or mixed veggies (steamed)
1 handful size portion of whole wheat pasta

Also getting an aerobic workout at least 3 times a day for at least 30 minutes at a time will do you loads of good too. Try running, biking and swimming to get you started.

Good luck, stay strong and you’ll lose that weight!

I wrote a great diet book just recently; it’s called "Stop Eating so Goddamn Much."
