HeySassy one let me try and educate you a little
let’s say We have a national health plan .All companies trying to save money drop their insurer which puts the insurers all out of business de facto we now all have to run to the government for insurance …we are once again pimping ourselves out for the government to take care of us.

Lemontree you need to educate yourself a little more our federal government and employees do not also participate in the SS program maybe they know something you don’t?

When in Washington DC, drive down prestigious K Street sometime. Check out who the largest, most influential, rich and powerful lobby groups there represent. I think that will answer a lot of your questions.

Here is what I would like to know, if the plan is so bad, why are Ins. companies afraid they won't be able to compete? In answer to your question, yes they do, and they will.

We need to DEMAND that our Politicians back out of their health plans and INSIST they come onboard with anything they put before the average citizens of our Country.

THAT is the ONLY way we would get a decent program.

YES IT IS TRUE, it IS hidden way into the bill where no one will see. A prominent Politician read the entire bill and even let it be known what page this was on. There is a whole lot of other crap in there also.

really? are state employees exempt too? lol that would po alot of people if true. i agree answer below me if your going to impose government health care you should have to pay for it to even if your a politician which i guess makes you better than every one else (rolls eyes) What a outrage!

If the proposed health care plan is so good?
how come members of Congress and Federal Employees will be exempt? The proposed plan specifically exempts these two classes from mandatory participation. Don’t the taxpayers deserve health care as good as the congressmen?
Of course private companies can’t compete. We will be creating more debt and paying higher taxes to support this plan. Business must make a profit, government can create debt.
It is in Section #3116 of the Kennedy Bill as reported in the Wall Street Journal.
