How To Quickly Lose Weight

No one likes the thought of starting a diet – it’s the word DIE with a T on the end … it just can’t be fun. It’s SO much easier (and more fun) to put the weight on than to knock it off.

Losing weight too quickly is not good for the body, so you need to lose a little weight regularly in order to obtain your ideal weight. However, losing just a few pounds a week is often too depressing for most people, so they quickly dump the diet. Persistence is the key to any success when you are dieting.

If you want to quickly lose some weight without damaging your body you need to reduce your calorie intake significantly and maintain this for a time.

You need to bear in mind that your body uses whatever energy source is most readily available. So if you are eating a high sugar diet, then that is what is used first. This is why it is important to significantly reduce the sugar in your diet, it forces your body to burn your fat instead. Any sugar that isn’t burnt during a day will be stored as fat by your body for later use.

These tips will help you to lose weight quickly and maintain your idea weight.

* Drink plenty – drinking plenty of water will help to speed up your metabolism, which makes it easier to burn off fat and lose weight. It also flushes the body of harmful toxins and keeps your skin healthy and your body hydrated. You should drink about 2 litres (4-5 pints) per day ideally.

* Eat a healthy breakfast – never skip breakfast, the old saying “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is true. Eat a breakfast that is packed with protein because this will get you off to a great start and give your metabolism a boost.

* Follow an exercise plan – devise an exercise plan for at least 20 minutes every day and stick to it religiously. Exercises which burn off the most fat are aerobic ones such as walking, jogging, swimming and riding a bicycle.

* AVOID snacks – never be tempted to nibble on unhealthy, high sugar snacks during the day. If you must snack then stick with fruit or raw vegetables. Remember to keep a bowl of fruit nearby and pre-cut vegetables such as carrot and celery into nibble size pieces and put them in the refrigerator in zip lock bags so there handy. Carry them around with you so whenever you are hungry you can have a healthy snack instead of facing temptation.

The main challenge anyone who loses weight has to deal with is maintaining their ideal weight. Make change to your lifestyle rather than diet, and you will keep your ideal weight. Remember to watch the amount of calories that you eat in relation to those that you are burning off and to keep active and stick with some form of daily exercise.

How can I lose weight quickly and safely?
I’m auditioning for a musical in a little over a month and I want to quickly lose some weight. I’m not grossly overweight or anything. I’ve done shows before at my present weight, but I’m auditioning with a new theater group and I want to look good in order to make a good impression. What is a quick, safe, effective way to shed a reasonable number of pounds?

the only "safe" way is working about at a gym for 1-2 hours doing cardio. and you also have to eat healthy. lean meat, vegetables, fruits, etc.

i don’t have a real elaborate answer for this. i will tell you though that i was trying to lose weight fast at one point and it sounds cliche but the only absolute healthy and safe way to do it is to maintain a healthy diet and work out.
i started working out 6 days a week, one hour a day. every day i switched up my work out routines to work a different part of my body so i wouldn’t become so accustom to what i was putting my body through; therefore in keeping my body guessing [as far as working out goes] i lost more weight faster.
stop eating fast food- don’t drink soda.
drink more water than anything.
carbs AREN’T the devil. lol.
just be smart about what you eat. :) best of luck with your auditions!

Hop on the stairmaster for ten minutes and see how you feel. Start at level 3 or 4, then work your way up. You’ll literally see the weight disappear after 3 sessions. Stairmaster is the way to go. You’ll sweat and burn fat 3 times faster than a treadmill or an eliptical machine…seriously.

You can run or jog an hour every other day and that will easily help you lose 10lbs in a month as long as you are not eating more than 2,000 calories per day. If you dont like jogging then you can go on hour long bike rides every day. You can go to the gym and go back and forth between a treadmill and an elliptical machine every 30 minutes. Most gyms will not allow you to stay on a machine longer than 30 minutes as a courtesy to other members who are waiting. That is why you should switch from one machine to another since 30 minutes isnt enough to lose weight. Do 30 minutes on an elliptical then do 30 minutes on a treadmill and that should be enough. But it would be a super effort if you tried to do that twice for two hours!!! Try to avoid sugar such as soda, candy or chocolate. They spike up your insulin levels and make your body store fat. Try to eat healthy. Eat 5 meals a day because it increases your metabolism. You should count having a snack as a meal. These meals should be under 400 calories each.

I will give you a few examples of a 400 calorie meal.

A. A bowl of cereal with skim milk, a glass of orange juice and a piece of toast.

B. A bagel with cream cheese, a cup of yogurt and a 16 ounce bottle of water.

C. A 4 ounce steak with some veggies and a glass of water.

D. A 16 ounce smoothie is usually around 350 calories.

E. A bowl of soup with a small sandwich and a glass of water.
