Low Calorie Diet

Low Calorie Diet The Natural Way
Please, just because you want to lose weight, don’t dump your nutritious foods and live on celery sticks and diet sodas. It will hurt you in the long run by depriving you of needed nutrition and fiber.
Instead replace some of your unhealthy foods with healthy foods. You can start a better diet and it will be a low calorie diet compared to what many people have been eating.
Focus on more vegetables in your diet. Especially the leafy green vegetables. Eat 7 or more half-cup servings of vegetables a day. This would mean two or three different servings of vegetables per meal. Eat a variety of vegetables, with a variety of colors each day. This creates visual appeal, different textures and the good nutrition that you need.
Don’t cut them out, but don’t use as much of the root vegetables because they are more starchy. Example: potatoes, sweet potatoes.
Drink water instead of soft drinks and fruit juices. This will lower your calories and provide you with the fluids you need for health and weight loss. Yes, water and plenty of it will help you lose weight.
I saw a show in which an obese teenager did not have a clue about calories or nutrition, but she was very willing to learn. Dr. Phil told her that cutting out the sodas the teenager was drinking would allow her to lose 50 pounds of fat in a year. This may apply to you as well, if you drink a lot of sodas.
Be ready ahead of time for snacks. Don’t reach for the nearest goodie or candy bar, instead get out the snack you thought about ahead of time. Maybe a little cheese and apple, a piece of fruit, or some cottage cheese with mixed fruit. Keep the serving small – it is not a meal, just a snack.
All of these suggestions give you an idea of how to have a low calorie diet without depriving you of needed nutrition.

QUESTION:
What is a low calorie diet where i can still have plenty of energy?
I want to lose weight but i have been very weak recently since i have been on my diet. Does anyone know where i can get foods that are low calorie but give me plenty of energy?-
ANSWER:
Hey, girl, just keep on dieting but keep it healthy!Diets have come and gone and a new one will be invented tomorrow promising you everything and delivering very little. That is because they are considered something you go on and then go off. In other words, they are temporary. That is not to say they are useless just that they will never give you continued success unless you change some things permanently.
What is a Diet Good for?
Diets have their place in your weight loss goals. First of all, they can be beneficial to jump starting your metabolism. Kind of a fire starter if you will. A jump-start will give you more energy and the initial weight loss can boost your self-confidence.
However, you will need to be ready to make some whole life changes if you want the results to be permanent. What are some changes you will need to make? Well a lot of that depends on you.
Lifestyle Changes- Fast Food
Are you a fast food junkie who eats out at least a couple of times per week? If so, you will find that you have plenty of company. Many people are so busy that the drive through is a perfect solution for dinner, lunch and even breakfast. The problem is many have no idea that one meal from a fast food restaurant can contain nearly a whole day’s caloric intake.
One popular fast food joint has a burger that is 750 calories! The burger alone is a third of your recommended daily allowance; add the fries and a drink and you are done for the day.
Does this mean you can never have fast food again? Not necessarily, but it will mean that you have to be aware of what you are eating. Most fast food places have a website that contains all the nutritional information for the foods they serve. Check them out then make you a list of “safe” fast foods.
Exercise Changes
If you never move your body more than from the house to the car to work and back you will have a hard time losing weight and keeping it off. The human body functions best when there are periods of exercise. It increases mood stabilizers in the blood stream and best of all burns calories.
While you are on your diet, take the time to incorporate exercise into your life. You will feel better and increase your weight loss rates exponentially. Start with a walk, park further away from the store or your office. Then as you progress, find time to walk more or jog. Whatever you can comfortably fit in your schedule will be a great place to start.
Healthy Eating
This is absolutely the most important part of all. While you are on your chosen diet, you will want to become familiar with healthier food choices. Find ways to make your favorite foods better for you. Can you substitute ground turkey for ground beef in some recipes? Learn new recipes that include fresh fruits and vegetables.
You see your body needs several things to function at a healthy level. Proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals just to name a few. You also need certain fats to cushion joints and protect your vital organs. Create a lifestyle eating plan that brings all of these elements into play and you will feel amazing and best of all you will be able to lose weight and keep it off.

How to do a low calorie diet if you LOVE to eat?
Okay, I’m trying to lose weight by eating healthy, exercise, and a low calorie diet. I want to eat around 1200 calories a day. The problem is, I LOVE to eat. I love sweet stuff. If it helps, I’m a vegetarian. No red meat, fish, or poultry.-

Eat a salad in large amount. Eat fruits like apple, pine apple, orange, peach, guava, pomegrante, black berry etc which are high in nutrients and low in calories. Try upma and poha in breakfast instead of oily food.

QUESTION:
How do I keep and gain muscle on a low calorie diet?
I am an 18 years old,male,5’8,and 325 pounds I’ve been on a diet for the last 5 weeks and have lost 15 pounds.I take in 1200-1500 calories a day and lift weights 3 days a week unfortunately I’ve lost muscle.Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to keep and gain muscle on a low calorie diet?-
ANSWER:
you should strive for a healthy weight loss of 3%/month maximum. Your calorie intake is much too low. You arent eating enough to feed your body, especially if you are lifting. Your body is likely using all of your protein as an energy source. Increase your calories to closer to 2500 on off days and 2700 on lifting days and make sure you are consuming at least 100g of protein daily, ideally from lean meats or a whey powder. you also need to make sure you are consuming adequate quantities of carbs and fats for your body to use as energy so it will allow your protein to be used for muscle mass retention. also, stay hydrated and avoid caffeine and junky supplements like muscle milk, creatine and eas.
