<p>Slim Fast is becoming famous for the new flavors they have introduced and their steady stream of testimonials from those who have met or exceeded their goals by using the Slim Fast system. Using Slim Fast when dieting can assist those with little will power when it comes to chocolate and sweets achieve their weight loss goals by having the higher calorie shakes and snacks throughout the day followed by a sensible meal in the evening and indulging in their craving for sweets throughout the day. <p>More than options however, it is good to see that Slim Fast, even after all these years, is still getting results by those who stick with the program. The truth is that the product wouldn&#8217;t have been around this long if it wasn&#8217;t working for someone along the way. Like many other weight loss plans, Slim Fast has taken to pushing the benefits of an active lifestyle in addition to the need for a healthy diet. There are some that will argue that you are not getting all the nutrients you need from drinking shakes but it could be reasonably argued from reading the label that the average shake contains more vitamins and nutrients than a sad margin of people consume on a daily basis.</p>

<p>Slim Fast Diet is one of the oldest available diets that are still in use. Slim Fast diet is very helpful in controlling hunger for more than four hours. The diet is balanced, nutritional and rich in calcium and proteins. It is easy to keep on, snacking and loosing weight are compatible, this diet will not cause you a hunger, it already counts all your calories, it is convenient, it doesn’t contain any stimulants or appetite suppressants, it can be proud of the variety of food you can eat which provides you with vitamins, minerals and fibre at the same time. Slim fast diet is considered to be a nutritionally balanced plan, offering dieters proteins, carbohydrates, and a healthy amount of fat.</p>
<p>Dieters are encouraged to stay away from high-fat and high-calorie foods, and choose high-fibre/high-vitamin foods instead. Dieters have to buy the Slim-Fast Brand foods.  Slim-fast participants are to avoid high fat and high calorie foods and replace them with vitamin and fibre enriched nutritious foods. Dieting with juices alone may not help as much as a fast weight loss diet would but it would be truly helpful.</p>
<p>In order to lose weight you must take in fewer calories than you use. The Slim fast diet, like many other diets, follows that basic plan. Here&#8217;s a brief glimpse at it.</p>
<p>First let&#8217;s examine the basics of the slim fast diet. In essence it revolves around drinking a shake in place of two meals for the day. The dieter can also eat a regular meal for dinner, as well as two pieces of fruit and one slim fast nutrition bar. At 1200 calories each day this diet is about 500 down from an average female&#8217;s diet, and 1000 down from an average male&#8217;s diet. Add exercise and you&#8217;re sure to lose weight on this diet.</p>
<p>This slim fast diet is easy to use, that&#8217;s important. If diet is too hard to maintain it will never work. Slim fast diet also tells people to drink 6 to 8 cups of water a day – that&#8217;s a good thing. One great problem with the slim fast diet is that it is difficult to get needed vitamins, minerals and other nutrients necessary for healthy living. Most of these are found in the average foods that people eat, but not all are found in the slim fast shake or nutrition bars. Another danger on this diet is to cut out the dinner meal. They think this will help them lose weight at an even more rapid pace. But that&#8217;s a very bad idea because it&#8217;s far too few calories, and multiplies the problem of missing certain nutrients.</p>
<p>Sometimes people eat two regular meals and replace one with the slim fast shake –a modified slim fast diet. It&#8217;s a good, safe way to lose weight. </p>
<p>The Slim Fast diet is one of the better ones on the market if you don&#8217;t mind spending the money for the shakes, which can be quite expensive to consume twice a day.</p>
<p>Weight loss can be difficult at the best of times, so helpful advice and encouragement from a nutritionist/dietician as well as other dieters can make a huge contribution to your weight loss goals.</p>

<br />If you are seriously concerned about you weight and it is upsetting you this much I suggest you contact your family doctor and talk to them about a healthy diet plan.  They may suggest you see a nutritionist for help.  You don&#8217;t say how tall you are, how much you weigh or how old you are.  Those are all important factors in a weight loss plan.</p>

<p>What&#8217;s with all the weight loss programs, foods, diets, plans, programs and pills and the majority of Americans are either overweight or obese?  Do these products work or not and what the heck is going on here anyway?</p>
<p>The answer is based on expectations.  We want FAST weight loss with minimum of fuss and problems.  We don&#8217;t want to make changes in our lifestyles but want that magic pill that makes us slim quickly.  Deep down inside we know this isn&#8217;t reality but still can&#8217;t seem to face the fact that we eat to much in relation to the amount of activity and exercising we do.  </p>
<p>The problem with the whole weight loss industry however is that the marketing plays on our desire to quickly lose weight without effort.  Just look at all those ads and the one thing in common, no matter if it&#8217;s a weight loss supplement, exercise machine, or food program is that they all hold out the promise that losing weight is easy and quick!  And we so want to believe that there&#8217;s this magic secret to weight loss that we buy into their story.</p>
<p>How sad!  The fact is that we didn&#8217;t gain all the weight in a few days or months and we&#8217;re unlikely to lose it that fast either.  Fast weight loss is the absolute worst type of diet with the vast majority doomed to failure and to gain all that fast weight loss right back.  To make matters even more difficult, fast weight loss sets a body up in starvation mode so when eating resumes, your body will not only put on all that weight but also a few extra pounds to protect itself during the next famine.</p>
<p>So as the cycle of dieting and weight loss continues one time after another, it becomes increasingly more difficult to lose the weight and keep it off.  </p>
<p>The question comes down to, why don&#8217;t any of these programs actually work?  The answer, unfortunately, is that almost all products work just does not live up to the marketing and our expectations.  A diet supplement that helps curb your appetite and helps you to lose a pound or two each week is considered a failure because we want fast weight loss and the hype promised it would be easy.  Losing weight isn&#8217;t easy and never has been.  </p>
<p>Notice that all weight loss products do one of two things.  They help us to either eat less or exercise more.  That&#8217;s it.  That&#8217;s the secret to weight loss.  Eating fewer calories than we use up on a day to day basis is the key to any successful weight loss program  It&#8217;s not fast but it IS effective.</p>

<br />it is possible that once u start eating again u will put it on as u will over eat thats why experts say u should change yr eating habits not use things like slimfast. however they work for some people, i successfully used it after my last child. the trick is to be strict with yourself and either continue using slimfast for breakfast or lunch so u dont overindulge or keeping check on yr weight  and once u put on a few pounds go back on the slimfast its much easier to lose 3lb than 3 stone.  good luck</p>

I&#8217;m 14 years old around 5&#8217;3 and about 160 pounds.<br />
I&#8217;m also a vegetarian. I&#8217;m looking to loose alot of weight!<br />
Please help me on how I can loose alot of pounds in atleast 2 months. Thank you and I can&#8217;t seem to find a vegetarian diet plan so if you could help me out with some tips or information that would be great.<br />

<p>Lowering your calorie intake will make your body reduce the rate at which it changes calories into energy. In other words, reducing calorie intake slows down your metabolism and holds onto your fat. Starving yourself will actually make it harder for you to lose weight. That means that for each pound of muscle you build with strength excercises, you burn 20 to 30 calories a day from your resting energy output or about 7,300 calories a year. You can strength train by using machines and free weights such as barbells.</p>
<p>(8) Follow the Pyramid.</p>
<p>The American Diatetic Association recommends a food guide pyramid that serves as a general list of healthful foods that must be eaten daily. The pyramid has four levels. The top of the pyramid is the smallest part , represents fats, oils and sweets. This group includes salad dressings, butter, ice cream, softdrinks, candies and desserts and foods that has very little nutritional value and can make your calories add up to.</p>
<p>At level two of the pyramid are the milk, yogurt, cheese group, meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs and nuts. These foods provide you with protein, calcium, iron and zinc.. ADA recommends two to three servings daily of this group.</p>
<p>The third level represents the vegetable and fruit groups, which are good sources of vitamins, minerals and fiber. ADA recommends three to five servings daily of this group.</p>
<p>At the base of the pyramid are the bread, cereal, rice and pasta. ADA recommends 6 to 11 servings of this group. These foods are source of fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals</p>
<p>(9) Stop taking the following food.</p>
<p>ALCOHOL : a 12-ounce can or bottle of beer contains 150 calories. An</p>
<p>Alcoholic beverage can add 100 to 200 calories to your meal.</p>
<p>Alcohol is stored in the liver as fat.</p>
<p>COCONUT : An ounce of raw coconut contains 100 calories, around 77%</p>
<p>Of which is saturated fat.</p>
<p>CHOCOLATE, CANDY, COOKIES :</p>
<p>They are full of simple carbohydrates, which means they are</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am currently on the slim fast diet, which works, but I would like to do weight watchers as well. So, can I do weight watchers when on the Slim Fast diet? Does anyone know how many points a Slim Fast Optima Rich Creamy Chocolate Shake is?<br />
<br />I&#8217;ve had slim fast shakes &amp; bars while on the WW diet&#8230; as long as you&#8217;re on the flex plan you can eat whatever you&#8217;d like.  I&#8217;m not sure how many points the shake is&#8230; i have a cappuccino one that is 3 points.  They are great for meal replacements, especially on the go &amp; much healthier than sneaking in some fast food.  I wouldn&#8217;t follow the SF diet to the tee though&#8230; however, almost all the recipes on SF are really tasty.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re kind of a budget stick the SF diet for now&#8230; its about $17/mo for WW online&#8230; good luck!</p>
